Brightline Policy Fellowship Summer 2023
Brightline Defense is a San Francisco-based environmental justice (EJ) non-profit that works to promote sustainability in low-income communities and communities of color. Our EJ campaigns often focus on renewable energy, air quality, and local hiring policies. For instance, we advocate for local, low-income communities to have better access to affordable energy as well as good-paying jobs in multiple sectors.
During Summer 2023, Brightline’s Policy Fellow will engage in a wide range of policy and legal advocacy at the local, regional, and state levels. Brightline engages policy makers and administrative law stakeholders at various levels of government, including the City and County of San Francisco, the SF Commission on the Environment, California Public Utilities Commission, California Energy Commission, Bay Conservation and Development Commission, Bay Area Air Quality Management District, Metropolitan Transportation Commission, and the California Legislature.
